Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VectorDating mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Xinhao Zhang. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

VectorDating is for adults aged 18 and older. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. We may suspend or delete an account if we reasonably believe its user is under 18.

3. The Service

VectorDating is an AI-powered conversation assistant. It can analyze text and screenshots that you choose to provide and generate reply drafts, openers, profile summaries, and conversation insights.

VectorDating does not operate a dating network, connect users to matches, or send messages to third-party dating apps. You decide whether, where, and how to use any generated content.

4. Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your account secure, and promptly notify us if you believe it has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

5. Your Content and Other People's Privacy

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service and provide the features you request.

You may upload content only if you have the right and permission to do so. If a screenshot or conversation contains information about another person, you are responsible for respecting that person's privacy and for removing unnecessary sensitive, confidential, or identifying information.

6. Third-Party AI Processing

When you request an AI feature, the text, screenshots, images, profile information, and conversation context you choose to submit are transmitted to and processed by Google Cloud Vertex AI to generate the result you requested.

If the primary Google Cloud models cannot complete your request, the same submitted content may be transmitted through OpenRouter and processed by OpenRouter and its selected inference provider. By requesting an AI feature and submitting content, you expressly authorize this processing for the purpose of providing that feature. Do not submit content to an AI feature if you do not agree to this processing. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or deceive another person.
• Create or distribute unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent AI-generated content as that person's words.
• Upload content that violates privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
• Circumvent access controls, probe the Service for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation.
• Use automated means to scrape, resell, or access the Service except through interfaces we provide.
• Violate applicable law or another platform's terms.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

VectorDating may offer free features and paid monthly or annual subscriptions. The price, billing period, included features, and any introductory offer are shown before purchase.

Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat helps us verify subscription status and provide access to paid features; it does not replace Apple as the payment processor. We do not receive your payment card details.

• A subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it through your Apple Account subscription settings before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or your VectorDating account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
• Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.
• We may change subscription features or future prices. Apple will provide any notice or consent flow required for a price change.

9. AI Limitations and No Professional Advice

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or unsuitable for your situation. Review all output and use your own judgment before acting on it.

The Service provides drafting and informational assistance only. It is not relationship counseling, therapy, mental health care, legal advice, or another professional service. We do not guarantee matches, replies, dates, relationships, or any other outcome.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

11. Availability and Changes

We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Usage limits may apply to protect service reliability and prevent abuse.

12. Suspension and Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or harm, or where required by law. You may delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for decisions, messages, meetings, relationships, or other interactions resulting from your use of AI-generated content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the Service.

15. Apple Terms

Your license to use the iOS application is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. If an iOS application license term in these Terms conflicts with Apple's Standard EULA, Apple's Standard EULA controls for that license.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
